Generic exercises often focus only on mobility or stretching, ignoring load distribution
Strengthening programs miss how the trunk, hips, and shoulders coordinate movement
Symptoms return as daily tasks or exercise continue to overload the thoracic spine
Isolated treatment of painful areas does not correct faulty movement patterns
Have had mid back pain for 3 months or longer
Have tried stretching, rest, or previous physical therapy without lasting relief
Notice pain with lifting, twisting, posture maintenance, or exercise
Experience stiffness, tension, or radiating discomfort in the thoracic area
Feel frustrated that imaging or prior care does not explain ongoing pain
Thoracic spine and rib cage mobility
Load transfer through hips, trunk, and shoulders
Compensatory patterns during daily and athletic movements
Core and stabilizing muscle control
Interaction of spine, pelvis, and extremities during activity
Most programs focus on stretching or isolated strengthening. If the thoracic spine continues to absorb excessive load, pain persists. Treatment must address how your body distributes forces during movement.
Pain in this area often originates from dysfunction in hips, shoulders, or core. Focusing only on the mid back misses the source of overload. System-based evaluation identifies the true contributors.
Rest alone is rarely required. Progressive, structured loading retrains your body to manage forces safely. The goal is restoring tolerance without increasing stress on the mid back.
We focus on movement patterns and load distribution, not isolated tissues. We assess how your spine interacts with the entire body during activity. This approach reduces recurrence and restores functional capacity.
